When talking abt social rules...yes there are some parts of the world where society does bind a women in web of rules usually found in man dominated areas or sadiyon se chali rasmon ki wajah se.
I used to think that women hve to sacrifice a lot but i waz wrong when i saw man also suffering the same way...within one particular society or family if u break a rule...not only u ...ur grandchildren will also have to pay for that...but nowadays education and awareness have enlighted many families not their parents...but it did their children...when we talk abt freedom...then what is freedom?
i think both men and women are in one way or the other sacrificing...if lady is listening to inlaws then gents are listening outside from their boss...its just that they dont tell abt it usually.
if girl has to listen to parents ... guys also have to..must have heard of marriages in the age of 16-19..for these girls there must hve been similar age boys also.
Yes u r right Govt does work more on mens team than on ladies...i think it depends on the place...if u r staying in Afghanistan for God sake dont say that

..but if the same family has been living in Usa for more than 4 yrs...then for sure u can say.

..surrounding helps change the views indirectly
