Not that I don't like blogging about Pakistani politics, it's just that things lately have been pretty boring. The TV channels are dramatizing the PM nomination process to the max and the PPP is at a verge of a collapse. Thanks to, you know who; Mr. 10% aka Asif Ali Zardari. The moment he set foot in Pakistan without the face he used to carry (Mostaches, remember?) I knew he was upto something for his own personal good. With Benazir out of the picture, he looks obnoxiously ready to take over the upper house of Parliament. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing personal against Zardari - It's his track record that keeps me from seriously accepting him as a man capable enough for the job of running this country.
Lately he has been advertising his own brand of feudalism ala it stays in the family campaign and (even though they deny it) the party members don't seem to be getting along with Zardari too well. Now to make things further miserable for everyone, Zardari has invited his son Bilawal Zardari (the kid) back to Pakistan to simply make the official announcement for the new Prime Minister. The kid didn't find it important enought to be present at the 'chelum' of his mother, the late Benazir Bhutto, but he certainly has the time to do his father a favor by making this formal announcement.
Think these shepherds can bring democracy to the footsteps of Pakistan? Think again.
