Change is the only constant. And Kareena Kapoor will vouch for it. First she went from being a typical chubby Punjabi kudi to a much talked about size zero. Then just when news about her being a size zero was dying down, Bebo lived up to the foodie image of the Kapoor khandaan. Recently, the actress has put on some weight again.
A source close to the actress says, "Bebo is no more a size zero. She has put on some weight recently. In spite of being size zero after doing power yoga and following a strict diet, Kareena just couldn't give up on her sumptuous breakfast of greasy parathas and malai every morning. She chose not to make any public appearances of late and now she's off to Australia for her film Main Aur Mrs Khanna."
So has the actress put on weight simply because she is a Kapoor and had once claimed on national television that she can't do without homemade payah soups and kebabs? Or is it because she needs to look fuller as she plays a house wife opposite Salman Khan in Main Aur Mrs Khanna?
"The actress is trying not to be too perturbed with this recent weight gain. In fact, she is considering it a good thing for her film opposite Salman where she needs to portray a mature character. Recently, she has gone to Australia to shoot for Main Aur Mrs Khanna. She knows that being a size zero is not really a good idea as she will be wearing sarees in the film. Her waif-thin figure just did not suit her character in Main Aur Mrs Khanna so she is quite okay with the weight that she has recently put on," adds the source.
Manish Malhotra, who has been Kareena's designer in many films, is also working on her new look in Main Aur Mrs Khanna. When contacted, Manish confirmed that he is working on Kareena's look for the film but chose not to comment on the status of her size.
Bebo, who cried hoarse that she was not size-zero despite being labeled so, has finally begun to gain some weight. The actress is presently shooting in Australia for Main Aur Mrs Khanna with Salman Khan . She has reportedly begun eating full diets and is acquiring her curves again.
Within a week the actress would be in better shape to slip into outfits by designer Manish Malhotra at the three-day IIFA weekend from June 6-8 in Bangkok.
Kareena will walk the ramp in Malhotra’s latest creations and will also perform on stage during the weekend.
And with the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan also set to walk the ramp, Kareena is perhaps making sure she doesn’t look odd in her super-slim figure.
