I lay my head down on my pillow,
And wait for my dreams to begin.
I wonder which one will come calling,
Which girl will my mind invite in.

Will it be the girl down at the sub shop,
Or the one that I met at the beach.
Will she like me and tell me she loves me,
Or will she keep herself just out of reach.

She could be the cute waitress at Arby's,
Her hair was so shiny and clean.
Or the lady seen buying her groceries,
The most attractive woman I've seen..

Or maybe she's someone who knows me,
A girl that some how I can't see.
And maybe she dreams of her lover,
Each night she still dreams about me.

Though my dreams can be very erotic,
And the girls that walk through them, are fine.
For the most part, it's all wishful thinking,
A world only known by my mind.

So, as I fall deep into slumber,
My dreams are just dreams, and it's true.
When tonight, I will dream of an angel,
For tonight, that angel is you.
