Accidental death and dismemberment Are too common these days- And they occur from dawn to dusk, Or even under bright sun rays! Inventions and innovations have changed Our life to adapt to the rush- On info superhighways and expressways, So we can’t say hush! Fast computers and GPS** are gliding us To avoid bottlenecks in air or on expressway- And thriving temperament to succeed or exceed By allowing the decisions to sway! Mishaps are the obvious consequences, And push us for a revenge or road rage- While the jawbones try to cling together, Regardless of the victims age! Verbal or facial expressions may exchange To dissuade the unexpressed anger- Followed by war of words for a moment, Till the mind hangs on the hanger! Propensity to dispel errors remains ominous, And shroud of justice stretches thin- To figure out the person(s) at fault, While ambulance listens to victims’ keen! With population explosion and modernization, Extension of expressways will continue- Regardless of benefits or personal comforts, The horrors seem to loom in “H-Ray View”! So the question that flocks my mind today Wanders about the salient choice- Of dealing with unintentional killings By choking unexpressed rage on expressways’ voice!! |
