Hour Glass
An hour glass has been turned
Resembling the dwindling seconds I have left I shall not die tonight My breath is becoming cold And I am becoming numb Watch me shudder Branches sway in the night And the stars shine Don't they look so nice? The sands of time slip Between my fragile fingers Are my bones visible? I walk into open arms Giving away a precious gift Please accept it I can hear the angels calling Or, perhaps, with today's society, demons I leave you now with my love. |
