Theme Of The Week: "DIVORCES"
Salam DT members!
This weeks THEME are: DIVORCES/SINGLE PARENTHOOD...Why The Sudden Increase? Recent surveys show that there has been a exponential increase in divorces, especially in family oriented societies like India,Pakistan and MIDEAST. what do you think are the reasons of this increase, is it assertion of feminine power, changing lifestyle which is becoming more individualistic ,or simply more materialistic desires? what do you think will be the future impact of this on the society?(surveys show that the offsprings of a broken marraige have higher incidence of having unsucessful relationships in their own lives)..... Let The Discussion BEGIN.... ![]() |

Re: Theme Of The Week: "DIVORCES"
Thnx 4 replying...and very nice reply
I feel in most of the cases the causes for divorce are : ppl do not speak to each other they believe in whatever crap other or so called wellwishers say abt the other person involved ppl do not trust each other suddenly everyone becomes sherlock holmes and star spying abt the other workpressure /office timings etc add to the fact that they do not get quality time to spend with each other and nowadays women have realised that they need not be doormats to their husbands and whatever their husbands do /say is not always correct now since divorce is a common issue it has become much more common to have one they dream of a perfect life but refuse to accept the truth but I bet that kids are the silent suffers coz they did not do anything but have to suffer a lot coz of their parents . I would like to add that even though divorce is not uncommon it should be the last option .but also there is no point in suffering the whole life with a person whom you do not like or cannot live with . and last but not the least ,marriage is not a childs game so better think n number of times rather than marrying and then divorce coz that leaves a scar in your heart.... |

Re: Theme Of The Week: "DIVORCES"
I'm just agreeing wit Miss_Sweet here. I think the reason is women are alot more independent now then they were before. In this age, most women have their own careers so they don't need financial support from a husband. Their career may cause them to grow apart from their loved ones and cause conflct because of the loss of communication. Also because countries are becoming more westernised. If you noticed, the divorce rates in in India or Pakistan or anyother country used to be very low, but as countries ppl in the countries experienced culture shock, u can see the divorce rates rise. A while ago in india, pakistan, canda, US, or anyother country, a divorced woman was seen as the lowest class there can be... but now there is barely and class difference... but it might vary in different countries. Also as Miss_Sweet said, children are the victims in divorces. They become attached to one parent once a divorces is passed... it could be either the parent living with them or the one living away. One working parent isn't enough to watch after a child... and they chances are they arent going to be there when the child really need them.
