Starting June 1st, AdSense says good bye to arbitrageurs. Those are the persons that are using AdWords to attract visitors to their website, then using AdSense to monetize the actual traffic, most often getting a wealthy profit.
Publishers being suspected for that, received an e-mail from Google, being informed that by the beginning of next month, their accounts will be deactivated, but they will still receive the revenue earned until then. This was an issue that arouse at the very beginning, and Search Engine RoundTable made a great point out of it three years ago. There were publishers making as good as $70,000 per month so just imagine. This will have a great impact over Google’s AdSense/AdWords users, but let’s hope things will evolve towards better conditions. |
