hmm...other than introduction see that if the person is doing dating for timepass or is serious abt marriage...wat are his/her future plans considering their job and career...there are many thing ....which should be done and shouldnot be done while dating...

When you first start dating, you should start with simple questions i.e. interests, music, hobbies, movies, etc. Once you have gone a few times, spark up an interesting discussion to view intellectual capabilities with questions such as what are your views on the Iraq War/War on Terrorism, or what do you feel about the current economy. Now, if this is ALL you speak of, the date will be a dud so mix it up with humor and spontaneous actions to flatter her/him. Most of all, no matter what you do, have fun! If they are easily bored of deep discussion, it is better to move onto them and about their life/family. Perhaps they are more comfortable speaking of themselves.

if it is serious relationship.....There are many things for talking...asked about his/her like and dislike...her hobbies...her family....her thinking about you...and asked about her personal life....how she spent her day and many more...i hav no experiance about dating....
