in roman empire there were certain rules upon people, and if u did a crime
lets say rape, the punishment will be only 30 days in a small box
Now you might say why only 30 days, well in those thirty days no rules of Roman Empire imply on the criminal so the society can humiliate the person however they want to, they can even rape that guy.
