Kuch toot gaye hain kuch khawab baqi hain
Kuch toot gaye hain kuch khawab baaqi hain
Maazi ki wafaon main kuch sarab baaqi hain



Ab bhi waazai nahin hui tasveer zindagi ki
Darparda ab bhi kuch naqaab baaqi hain




Har sawal apni jagah joon ka toon raha
Zubaan pe shikayaton ke kuch jawab baaqi hain



Khali hua behte behte yaad main behta sagar
Phir bhi nigahon main kuch sailaab baaqi hain



Maaf kiya khoon-e-jigar apna kisi dosti ko
To usi dosti se kuch hisaab baaqi hain




Kisi ka aasmaan tareekiyon ka ujala ban gaya
kahin be-rukhi ke kuch mehtaab baaqi hain




Mar bhi nahin sakte ab to sukoon-e-zalim
Hasrate reh jaain gi kuch hijaab baaqi hain



Musalsal jal rahe aatish-e-ishq ke angaron main
Parastish ke aur bhi kuch aadaab baaqi hain Karoon



Kaghaz ke nazaron se mahak aaye gi kaise
Haqeeqat ke guldano main kuch gulaab baaqi hain



Sab ko samajh na 'Shaiki' tu yaar be wafa
Teri tarah lute yahan kuch nawab baaqi hain!!
