    Some shortcut keys frm me

winkey + R gives u runbox at startmenu

winkey + F gives u findmenu at start menu

    winkey + E gives u explorer

    winkey + pause/break shows u system properties

winkey + M all opened windows minimized

winkey + shift + m will open all minimized

Icons on the desktop will slow down the booting speed of windows to avoid this, we have to increase cache memory of the icons.
iconcache.db is the file managing the icon cache..

follow this steps to do that

start =>run in that type regedit

in regedit window HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE =>SOFTWARE=>M*cro$oft=>WINDOWS=>CURRENT VERSION=>EXPLORER=>MAX CACHED ICONS

in that 500 will be the existing value to edit that double click that, now u can see edit string on value section type 2000 instead of 500.
close regedit and now reboot windows now u can see the difference..

for people who dont find max chached icons on regedit post a request here then i will give u details to create it

How to Disable Automatic Restart So that we Can Read Blue Screen Messages

How to Disable Automatic Restart So that we Can Read Blue Screen Messages

Sometimes an error occurs on your machine and you are immediately hit by a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). The only problem is the screen flashes by so quickly you rarely get to see what may have caused the error in the first place. To the layman the information on the screen may as well be in a foreign language but, in a number of cases, to a technician the all important 'gobbledegook' can mean the difference between locating your problem or complete disaster. By disabling the automatically restart on system failure feature, you are able to read what messages appear on the blue screen and can, if necessary, pass the information on to your technical support person.

    1/ Click Start Button

2/ On the Start Menu click Control Panel

3/ When the Control Panel window opens click on the System icon

4/ The system properties window opens

    5/ Click the Advanced tab

6/ In the Advanced tab window locate the Start and Recovery section and press the Settings button

7/When the settings window opens look for the System failure section

8/ Remove the check mark from the Automatically Restart option

    9/ Click OK to Exit
