Eye-Opener look big, bright and bold! by Sujartha K Deep set eyes getting you down? here’s a ten-step quickie to making them Open up your eyes with these tips and insider tricks to bring a little light to the windows of your soul: 1. Shape your eyebrows to bring the eye forward. Give the brow a well-defined arch, with the highest point of the arch located right above the middle of your eye pupil. 2. Camouflage dark circles, since they result in eyes looking sunken and tired. Try using a pink-based concealer before dotting on a flesh or yellow-based concealer. 3. A good trick to follow if you don’t have Bollywood-superstars proportions is to get a white eye-pencil and shade the inner rim of your eyes to make it look brighter and larger. 4. Sweep a lighter shade of an eyeshadow all over the eye socket, extending a little towards the temple. This sets a good base for darker colours, aside from absorbing any oil so that blending is easier. 5. When applying dark hues, avoid applying colours with a freehand. Instead, invest in a good eyeshadow brush for precise application. Apply the dark shade on the lower eyelid, taking care not to go too high as it should cover only the eye socket. 6. Using a larger brush blend the colour slowly, moving horizontally from the outer eye corner to where the socket line starts. The trick here is to tone down the intensity of the colour, so that the finished look is soft and blended in. 7. Next, starting from the outer corner, begin adding colour to about two-thirds of the way in. Make sure you cover the lower lash line and the roots of the lashes. 8. Finish with eyeliner and then make way to va-va-voom lashes with a good mascara. 9. Add a coat or two of mascara (depending on effect you want), and remember to choose your mascara according to your lash type. 10. For heightened drama in the evenings, apply a shimmering colour in the middle of the eyelid and highlight the area just under the brow-bone to make your eyes look larger. __________________________________________________ |
