Glitz and glamour make-up
Glitz and glamour make-up ![]() Many make-up styles we see today are based on fashions from the 1960s and 70s. Smokey eyes and vibrant colours represented these eras perfectly and with modern twists we can create the most dramatic, sexy and sultry make-up of all time! Apply a sheer base all over the face to reflect light and give a luminous appearance to the complexion. Conceal any imperfections around the eyes and nose to complete the canvas. ![]() Brush on a generous amount of translucent powder and apply an extra layer under the eye area to protect against loose particles of shadow. Any crumbs of shadow that fall on the face can then easily be brushed away without spoiling the rest of the make-up. ![]() Apply a cream or white powder shadow to the whole lid up to the brow with an extra highlight in white under the arch of the brow. |

![]() Carefully and slowly apply a dark grey, plum or black shadow to the lid and socket and blend to smooth the appearance of the edge line. Shadow pencils are often best here to really control the colour. ![]() Apply the shadow on the lower lid close to the lashes and smudge with a blending brush or sponge into both inner and outer corners of the eye. ![]() Apply a thick liquid line to the tops of the lids and extend the line to a feathered wisp at the outer corner of the eye. To really exaggerate the eyes apply either liquid or black pencil eyeliner to the inside corner of the eye and lower lids. |

![]() Apply lashings of mascara to the upper and lower lids, and for an even more spectacular result curl the lashes or add individual lash extensions to really perfect this look. For a hint of sparkle, coat the lashes with glitter mascara. ![]() A cream bronze or pink blush will complete the cheeks so blend into the apple of the cheeks and along the cheek bones. ![]() ![]() To finish the look, choose a lipstick that complements the shadow colour you have chosen - deep colours look great with such heavy eyes. Use a pencil and matching lip product to enhance your natural features. In the 60s a very pale lip gloss was applied so for authenticity try this for an old twist! Gloss to finish will add shine and sexy sparkle to this look. |
