Here is a short story from Tolstoy.
A man had two pet birds with him. One cock and a vulture. He was a very loving master. He used to take vulture on his shoulders and run his hands all over its body with affection. But somehow, the cock always maintained a distance from the man.
One day the vulture asked the cock. "Hey, why do you always try to go away from our Master. He is such a loving and carings person. He feeds us and pats us. Look at me, I sit onto his shoulders, but he never gets angry and loves me a lot."
The cock replied smilingly, "yes my friend, you are so true. Our master is very kind and caring. But my dear friend, have your seen any vulture being roasted onto the burning oven. I guess no. But I have seen so many cock being roasted."
Moral of the Story : Keep distance from the person with whom the fear of natural harm exists.
