DesiTwist & Me

DesiTwist has actually changed who I am/was. It has led me to understand about other people's lives around the world and therefore, has broaden my views.

Without this place, I would be much lonelier and lost. I have gained two of the most special and closest relationships here. They are both so close to me now, that if we don't chat everyday, I'll feel empty as if something is missing. They are the best thing that could ever happen to me.

As for the rest of DT members, they play a big part as well. Different ideas, morals, concepts, etc. have led me to feel differently about specific issues. You have all helped me understand things better, and you all have given me much love, which will stay with me forever.

I got many new friends...like an extended family. As 4 learning, Im learning about everything by reading everyones thoughts and feelings on so many various topics...its a learning experience and I feel wonderful being a part of it. Im not an internet savvy person and I dont hav much time to come on net, but I make time to come becuz I enjoy being here

Wait for me people

Ahh what have I learned and got from this great forum? Well, I haven't been here for that long, only 2 months... Yet, somehow I've managed to make 'person of the week' in my short tenure here. I think (and am not too sure) that I have also turned a few heads since I started posting in various sub-forums since my introduction to DesiTwist. Since then, I have learned about various different personalities that reside within these virtual walls and the impact of every individual that makes this community what it is. Which, essentially, this community is an amalgamation of thoughts, ideas, and beliefs that ties all its members together. We carry each other, one on top of the other, in a very distinct balancing act that can be only described as desi pride. A new generation that can look beyond all previous quarrels between two states, look beyond the shortcomings of previous generations, and move forward with the knowledge of becoming equal. After all, we are all brother's and sister's; we are the future of this world; let's start with DesiTwist and then work on changing the world. What have I learned from DesiTwist in these short two months? I've learned that the future is very bright with the people in this forum. I've learned that, though we may be in a conflict right now in the world, the coming 50 years will yield a great change in thought and greater acceptance for who we all are.

After all...we are all of the same race...we're all humans...

It breathed life right back into me, made me lead & serve with distinction. To say that I was modest before I came here isn't true because this community introduced me to modesty for the first time. It has given me confidence to stand tall and courage to resist where necessary.

In all honesty, I'd be nothing without DesiTwist.
