that sentence simply gives me the message that he is willing to receive some gifts..maybe the girl didnot/never appreciate him with gifts...utha kar de do what he likes from shop.

Well though it sounds really weird if he actually asked you to but him gifts but you know this person well, maybe he meant something else like maybe he wants to know what you like to present to him...maybe he just need a sweet little thing from you that reminds him of you time to time. Or maybe he is a jerk who just want to have something back
