When two Muslims combat each other with the sword, the killed and the killer both are doomed to Hell.
I said: Messenger of Allah! As to the one who kills it is understandable, but what about the killed? He (the Holy Prophet) replied:
The other longed to murder his opponent.

    (Agreed upon)

Al-Hasan bin `Ali (Allah be pleased with them) narrated that he remembered these words from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
Abandon what appears doubtful to you, and adhere to that which is not doubtful for truth is peace of mind and falsehood is doubt.

    Lessons Deduced:
    - People should avoid dubious things and do only what is clearly lawful. Those who avoid dubious things preserve the soundness of their faith and honor.
    - Truthfulness brings calm, tranquility, courage, self-confidence and trustworthiness. Falsehood, on the other hand, brings doubt, hesitation, fear, humility and untrustworthiness.

Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
Cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter). Seek help from Allah and do not feel disabled. If anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, do not say: If I had done that, it would have happened so and so. But say: Allah so determined and He executes what He had ordained. The word (if) opens the gates for the Satan.

    (Reported by Muslim)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Lessons Deduced
