Thread: Dad’s Favorite Custard Pie

This one is really easy. You don’t need a mixer, but it does require some baking, so if you’re not into that, just put this away for later. This is my Dad’s very FAVORITE pie in the whole world – I have no idea why.

This is my Grandma’s recipe, and when I make it, I always make 2 pies.

    Anyway, here it is:

    Dad’s Favorite Custard Pie

    3 large eggs, beaten
    ½ cup sugar
    2 cups milk
    ¼ ts. Salt
    ¼ ts. Nutmeg
    1 ts. Vanilla
    1 9” pie crust

In a bowl, combine all ingredients. Blend well.

Pour into an unbaked pie shell.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until center is firm.

That’s it! Remember, this pie is made with milk, so don’t let it sit out like you can with a fruit pie. Store it in the fridge.

Let me know how you like it.
