Candle-lit dinner a power saver


Candles are always an ideal way to set the mood, be it at the table or in the tub (Of course, not many can afford the luxury of a tub in Mumbai). Spend some money on some aromatic candles. Then use them to light an exquisitely prepared dinner for her.


Romantic walks..yawn!


Remember your courtship days? those long walks by the beach or the Bandra promenade were so much fun. In the rut of life, you seem to have forgotten to talk longs walks with your lady love.


The only walks you take these days are probably your weekly shopping for groceries.


Romantic walks are an ideal way to spend some time together.


A moonlit walk on a warm summer evening will definitely get her heart racing.



Buy her gifts or flowers


When was the last time you brought her a surprise gift without any reasons? On her birthday or your anniversary? But those are the obvious days for buying each other gifts.


Buying her just flowers, and it need not be some exquisite bunch, would show that you are thinking of her even now. She’ll appreciate the sentiment.


Buffet dinners


That’s a strict no-no and the most unromantic of all. Please, if you are going out for dinner, might as well take her to a nice place — it needn’t be expensive all the time you know.


Reserve a cosy table well in advance instead of just landing up at the restaurant and waiting outside for an hour. That will show her that dinner time with her is special.


Chocolates from dollar shop


She’ll definitely sense your true unromantic nature if the only time you get her chocolates are on Valentine’s Day or when you enter a dollar shop at Phoenix Mills.


Sure, chocolates with tags that read buy-three-get-one-free are great buys. But it also spells out in bold letters that you are unromantic.


Be spontaneous and buy her some quality chocolate when she least expects it.



“Handyman” verbs in bedroom


Avoid relying on terminology from the handyman profession like hammering, screwing and banging.


Instead, be complimentary, and seduce her with your charm and wit. This shows to your woman, shows that she’s desirable. That she is still wanted and loved. They love getting it at regular doses.

Give her a wet good-bye kiss when you step out of the house for work. Hmm..that will make her heart sing...literally.


Make her feel special by giving her regular lip contact. The first step to pick up the romance in your relationship is to realise that your tactics need a kick start. Listen to her needs, be spontaneous and generous..that will add a huge dose of spice in your life.
