The Right Way To Wash Your Hair

We all desire to look good and presentable and hair is an important part of our appearance that one cannot afford to overlook. We all wash our hair regularly but are you doing it the right way? Read on to find out!

    Shampooing
Avoid using too much shampoo. Using more quantity will not necessarily give you the look you desire. For a better and thorough wash, squeeze a little shampoo into a mug of water and wash hair with this diluted shampoo. Use fingers to gently massage the shampoo onto the scalp and don't rub hair vigorously as that may damage the hair . Use water to rinse off, again avoiding rubbing the hair too vigorously.

    Conditioning
Gently apply conditioner on wet hair. Leave on for a few minutes and then rinse off. Make sure to thoroughly rinse out conditioner, or the residue will dirty your hair faster.

    Drying
Do not use hair dryer with it's 'hot' setting at the maximum. You may not realize it at the moment but it damages hair in the long run. As far as possible, allow hair to dry naturally and then arrange it with your fingers.

    Setting
You could use gels, mousses and lotions to set it. For brushing hair, use a wide-tooth comb, starting at the bottom, to ease out tangles. Avoid brushing hair when wet.
