Thread: Shaving your face the right way...

  1. #1
It’s funny that sometimes we don’t know much about the things which
are a part of our daily routine. Let’s say for example our daily shaving.
Most of us have to shave our face everyday for a neat, clean look and all
we know is that by hook or by crook we should end up with a smooth
shave. Most men never even think about the fact that there can be some
proper ways of doing it rather than their haphazard, rushed shaves.
Sometimes we overlook some very important things and end up with cuts
on our face or if not cuts then some skin allergy, like pimples or a rough
texture. I am one of those men who shave everyday to ensure a neat and
clean look, and most of the time its getting over with it in as little time as
possible, but later I got this allergy which forced me to read about the
cause and safe ways of getting a good shave.
The first most common problem is shaving against the grain. We all try to
have the cleanest possible shave and for that we shave against the grain.
Trust me, this is very harmful for your facial skin as it damages it and then
leaves it so dry that all you end up doing is scratching all day long, so
please you better stop doing this.
The second problem is shaving in a hurry. We spend so much time on
our hairstyling and taking a shower, then why ignores our face? So try to
take out some time for shaving too. If your face is looking all scratched
up, then what’s the use of spending hours on dressing up and styling
    your hair.
The third very common mistake is using a normal beauty soap rather
than a shaving foam. Of course if you don’t have a shaving foam and all
you are left with is a soap then its better to use it instead of shaving
directly on your skin, but trust me its as bad as washing your clothes
    without a detergent.
A very useful tip for pre-shave treatment is to wash your face with warm
water. In my previous articles I told you that warm water opens your
pores and in some cases that’s not good, but when it comes to shaving
this becomes very handy. When you wash your face with warm water it
opens the pours and it’s very easy to shave at that time as your shave will
be neat and won’t leave your skin with cuts or dryness.
You have to make sure that you change your blade after every few uses,
especially when you feel that it’s not smooth enough. It can cause
irritation because bacteria are one of the main causes which make these
    blades useless.
Last but not least, is the after shave lotion. Mostly people avoid it but it’s a
must, as it closes the open pores you get after shaving your skin. So
guys these were some easy tips for better looking skin and of course a
    better looking you.
