Hair Colours are available in abundance in the local stores these days. You can take your pick from a number of well-knows brands. If you are thinking of colouring your hair at home, do so with utmost care. If your hair is dry or if it is already coloured, then head for the nearest salon. Otherwise…remember the following…

When choosing a hair colour remember that your skin tone is very important. So, if you have; dark/ olive skin – choose dark colours, yellow skin – choose dark rich colours, pale skin – choose any colour

Test how a colour is looking on you. Choose a small section at the nape of your neck and colour it – this is better than having a head full of disaster.

You have to recolour or touch up every 4-6 weeks. Use shampoos and other products meant for coloured hair.

Stay away from too much sun and go easy on conditioners and oil massages for your hair.

If the colour you have used makes your face look pale or dull, then the colour you have chosen is not right. The right hair colour should make your face glow. If that is not happening then it is time to visit your nearest salon.
