Actor Nirmal Pandey dead
Actor Nirmal Pandey, who has acted in many films down the years, passed away this afternoon.
The actor suffered from a cardiac arrest, and breathed his last at Mumbai's [ Images ] Holy Spirit hospital, in the western suburb of Andheri.
Sudhir Mishra, who directed himin Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahin, was shocked when he heard the news. "I am completely taken aback. I got to know only a few minutes ago," he said.
A graduate from the National School of Drama, Nirmal is best known for his films like Bandit Queen, Iss Raat... and Godmother. His last film was the Telugu movie, Kedi, co-starring Nagarjuna [ Images ], which released last week.
Scriptwriter Atul Tiwari (Mission Kashmir [ Images ]), one of Pandey's seniors at NSD, was on his way to the hospital when this writer spoke to him. He was in a state of shock.
