Thread: No Anti-Pak portions in 'Sarhad Paar'

  1. #1
With the Indian cinegoers giving thumbs down to anti-Pak themes [L.O.C., LAKSHYA, DEEWAAR, AB TUMHARE HAWALE WATAN SATHIYO], a number of 'patriotic' films are being 'altered' to suit the current mood.

There's talk that some portions of Nimbus' SARHAD PAAR [Sanjay Dutt, Tabu, Mahima, Chandrachur] have been changed because the Indo-Pak relations have undergone a sea-change in the recent past and depicting Pakistan in negative light would simply boomerang. “We've changed certain portions voluntarily,” Akash Khurana of Nimbus informs me, “But they weren't anti-Pakistan or anti any person in particular. SARHAD PAAR is a fight against terrorism, not against any particular individual or country.”

To emphasize on the point [that it's not anti-Pak], Khurana adds that they've even added a Pakistani actor -Fakr-E-Alam - to enact a significant role in the film.

Khurana also rubbishes rumours that Sanju refused to shoot for the film till the script was changed and the neighboring country was projected in a proper light. “Nothing of that sort ever happened. But it's good to be in the news, whether right or wrong [laughs]. In fact, we're adding a song to the film and we hope to release the film by February-end,” he clarifies.

NO MATTER, what way they present and what they say. Most movies even on Friendship will be anti-Pakistan. :!:

But We should care about it, because we know the truth.
