The hand embroidered salwar kameez is an outcome of the hard work put by the craftsmen. In this type of Salwar Kameez, the work of embroidery is adorned not only with threads but also with sequins, stars, beads, pearl / moti, soemtimes ghungroo, beautiful laces, semi-precious stones and jewels.
In the machine embroidered Salwar Kameez, the threads compose the most important aspect. These threads are of various colors and fabric like resham, cotton, silk, polyester, silver, gold etc. The machine embroidery although has limitation but it looks much better than that with hand embroidered Salwar Kameez.
The fabric used in a cloth can vary from cotton to silk, from crepes to georgettes and from satins to chiffons. A lot of work is also involved in the embroidery like work with sequins; chikon-kari, kalam- kari work, etc are quite popular among the people.
