    Ovarian cyst is a sac filled with fluid which is surrounded by a very thin wall within the ovary. If the ovarian follicle is larger than 2 cm, it is called as ovarian cyst.

    1. An ovarian cyst is the sac filled with fluid that forms on the inside of an ovary

    Treatment for ovarian cyst

    1. Treatment for ovarian cyst depends on the size and symptoms. In case of smaller cysts, your doctor will follow the wait and watch method. Only regular check up is advised.

    2. Functional ovarian cysts may not require any special treatment. Birth control pills may help in making the cycles normal and decrease the development of ovarian cyst.

    3. Larger ovarian cysts may require surgery (laparoscopy or exploratory laparoscopy) for ovarian cyst removal

    4. Other treatments include the treatments for polycystic ovaries that are responsible for ovarian cyst.

    Ovarian cyst and pregnancy

    Ovarian cyst during pregnancy is not dangerous and there are no major health hazards. Most of the cysts are harmless unless they grow to uncomfortable positions and rupture.
