    Soak In Oil

Hippocrates, the father of medicine, described it as the 'great therapeutic'. Homer, the Greek poet called it 'liquid gold'. We know it as olive oil. The ancient Greeks, known for their aesthetic sensibilities used olive oil as a beauty aid and following in their footsteps, so do innumerable cosmetic and beauty products. Presenting olive oil with several permutations and combinations for a complete beauty package:

    HAIR HAIR!
    Honey
Take half-cup honey and one-fourth cup olive oil. (Use two tablespoons of oil for normal hair.) Work the paste thru each segment of your hair till it is fully coated. Cover the hair with a shower cap. Half an hour later, rinse and wash with shampoo.

    Egg
Mix four tablespoons of olive oil plus two whole eggs. Smooth the paste through your hair. Wrap it up in a shower cap. Keep for 10 minutes. Shampoo. Rinse well.

    Egg and honey
A concoction of egg, honey and olive oil with milk and light til oil. Take two tablespoons of each, add two whole eggs. Use it after you shampoo your hair and it acts as a wonderful conditioner for dry hair. Smooth the paste through your hair and cover with shower cap. Keep for 20 minutes and then rinse well.

    BODY MATTERS!
    Corny Olive
Olive oil softens and moistens the skin. It also provides the much needed nutrients to the skin. Olive oil and cornmeal is a great combination. Warm up some olive oil, say about two to three tablespoons. Add it to four tablespoons of cornmeal. Massage the paste into your skin. Begin with your feet. Massage with circular and firm strokes. Rub well into dry or dead skin areas like your ankles, heels, elbows and knees. Rinse off with warm water.

    FACE IT!
    Cream and Olive OilFresh cream
Take one tablespoon of olive oil, add two of fresh cream. Very gently massage the paste over the face. Rinse off with warm water after 10 minutes and watch your face glow!

    Oatmeal
Bit problem? Take a two tablespoons each of olive oil and oatmeal and massage the area for four to five minutes. Wash with warm water.

    FOR YOUR EYES ONLY!
At night after you moisturise, apply olive oil around the eyes. It helps soften the skin and keep away those fine lines. No puffy eyes for the morning after!

    FEET FEAT!
A tub of warm water plus three tablespoons of olive oil spell out heaven for your feet. Soak for about 15 minutes. Later you could use an oatmeal scrub (take just enough amount to scrub both your feet and add water to create a paste) to clean thoroughly.

    HANDS ON!
Massage some warm olive oil into your nails and push in the cuticles after your bath. Massage well into your hands too. But remember to protect your hands after that! Slip into soft woollen gloves or pair of cotton socks (on your hands!) for some time. If you got soft nails you could harden it by soaking them in olive oil for 20 minutes thrice a week.
