Those are quite old pictures and they are definately not real, you'd see most of them are done with alot of photoshop {i should know i use photoshop} and some of them are actually made models, so theyre not real.
There was alot of speculation about what type of creatures were discovered when the Tsunami hit, and i have to say, media finds it a perfect opportunity to make it believable that the most unexpected things can be found during natural disasters.
'til there is some sort of source for finding mermaids, written scientific explanations, or believable proof, i fail to believe it. Because pictures are incomplete evidence. Unless you havent seen it in person or touched it for yourself then why believe.
