Where do you usually scan viruses for? i.e. where do they reside?
I can remove spyware/adware from my PC with ease (i.e. 180 solutions, alexa e.t.c) but never tried testing viruses or removing them. I can remember that w32 (perhaps bate or something) that once freaked me out.
google's toolbar itself is a spyware (carries personal data to google's servers) but I prefer not to remove it.
Also, which anti virus solution would you advise to us?

#.The worst part..
It disables
a.folder options
b.cmd
c.MSconfig
d.registry
Well Endurer i am no expert..
As far as Antiviral Help froma software is concerned i would recommend both an antiviral software and a firewall program..
1.Macaffee is a leader nowdays..It has a complete suite which when updated overshadows other ones..
2.A firewall program..
The best one is ZoneALaram ..And the Process killer in the Zone suite is a blessing for all..
Hoping the above info. was sufficient@@
