1. Introduction to Flash



The Stage – This is where everything in the frame is shown – the content of the frame. This is where everything happens

Tools Bar – This is where all the basic tools for drawing and editing on the stage are.

The Timeline – This is where you make things happen to the objects on the stage. It is made up of frames, of which there are two types. KeyFrames are where significant events occur, where as nothing tends to happen in a normal frame. (Frames turn grey when the have something in.) It also uses layers which allow more than one thing to happen at once.

Panels – These are where advanced options and effects are performed.

Properties Panel – This is where all the properties of objects can be changed. For example, if text is selected then the font, colour and size can be changed here. This is where most basic options and effects are performed.
