One quotes, “if we remove just two days from our life, then we would not have any worries – those are ‘Yesterday’ and ‘tomorrow’ “

But this is next to impossible to remove these two important days because the day called “Yesterday” consists of so many past events, emotions and memories that cannot humanly possible to be shed away from our mind and the “tomorrow’” belongs to new hopes, aspirations and fulfilling of ambitions.

When we talk of uncertainties of future, then we must realize that it is the beauty of “future”. Because our future is uncertain, we think to achieve the unthinkable. Because it is “unforeseen”, we try to see it. Just think if we were aware of the fact that India or any other team to the matter, will emerge as World Cup 2007 Winner in Cricket, then would there be the same euphoria all around the world about this mega event? No because the excitement would go off. I take another instance. Everyone knows we are all mortals. But no one knows the exact timing of the mortality – it can be next moment or might be after long years. Had we known that our death will arrive on a certain date, what would have been our mind set? Will we all be the sets of inspired lot to strive for success or do wonders in life? It is the uncertainly of future, which boasts us to discover new ideas. And attaining success or getting setback are very much part of this uncertainty. It is good that future is uncertain – otherwise we would not know as to what is the pleasure of triumph and what is the pangs of getting a blow.

Past is always past and it would never come back no matter how good or bad it was !! So, we cannot live with it. However, We learn from the past mistakes and treasure the happy moments that we have spent in the past. On the basis of our experience, we base our Present and plan our future. But the future teaches us to live and continue. It brings a ray of hope in dark with a typical “might be” syndrome. What was our present yesterday, today is the past. And what is our future today, tomorrow it will be our present.

So, most of the time our Present is the result or reflection of our past(barring of course unforeseen circumstances) and our Future will be the fruits of how we carve or plan for our future, in Present. And if our future is certain, we will not look for any venture for future and let go our present as it is. There would not be any challenge because we all would know what is lying in future.

So, it is so nice that the future is uncertain. On a fun note, I would sum up as saying, “if future were certain, what would have happened to the hundreds of Babas and astrologers of the country, who are making out TV viewing a delightful affair”.
