Here are some ways you can add volume to your flat hair.
Add highlights to your hair. The different shades create an illusion of volume.
Add layers to your hair, with special attention to the crown. More the layers at the top, the greater the volume. However, make sure that you do not overdo it or you will end up with a punky look.
If you want to add volume to certain sections of your hair that are exceptionally flat, then, when your hair is damp, use a hair dryer to dry that section from the underside and then add spray to keep the hair in place.
